Meet our Rancho Murieta Country Club Professional John Vigil.

He is a Certified USPTA Elite Tennis Pro and Certified IPTPA Pickleball Pro with over 28 years of instructional experience. John has been heading our program since 2001 and has been a teaching professional in Northern California since 1992.
 
Throughout his career he has developed and coached several USTA & SATA adult teams to National, Sectional and District titles. In addition to his success with adults, he has developed several top juniors into scholarship athletes. Under his guidance, many of his juniors have gone on to play at major Universities including USC, Purdue, Syracuse, Sacramento State and St.Mary’s.
 
John enjoys developing juniors from an early age and transforming them into accomplished players. To date he has coached 10 plus players into Varsity Number 1 as Freshman and countless others into key team members playing both singles and doubles.
 
His playing background includes collegiate play for San Jose State University, a Northern California open ranking, a USTA National Title - Men’s 5.0 and USTA National Rankings in both singles and doubles. Some coaching highlights include teaching professionally at Stanford University, U.C. Berkley, U.C. Irvine and at other select private clubs in Northern California.
 
John enjoys coaching adults and juniors at all levels. Whether you’re just beginning your tennis journey or have played high level tennis, John can guide you to a more advanced level of play.
